♥ Billie - 'Green Meadows' ♥

~ Billie 'Green Meadows' 3 coats & 2 coats Billie 'Clear' ~

~♥~

Here is what I am currently rock'in...... That orange I wore on the weekend was sooooooo hard to get off! My goodness, I did have like 6 layers of polish though = 2 coats of a opaque white, 2 thick coats of the orange, and then 2 coats of a super shiny T.C. That orange needed shine, because it had been gloomy here.

So I will be sticking with the ultra bright polish for my toes..... I looooove wearing jarring colors on my toes, and this green certainly is eye-catching, I wore this HERE as a mani. Billie 'Green Meadows is a matte polish, that I would say is bright enough to fall into the neon category, (but = maybe not) and because it is a matte and has some shimmer to it, I am not sure what name I should give the finish.... Frost? Pearle? Shimmer? I do not know. What I do know, is that it is very pretty, it dries fast and is unique to me.

I have paired this with a bottle of China Glaze 'For Audrey' for some comparison and of course- just after I finished painting & clean-up and moments before my photo opp, I had to get a huuuuuge ding on my right big toe !!!!.

~ Billie 'Blueberry' Scented polish 3 coats & 1 coat of Billie 'Clear' T.C. ~

~♥~

So here is a polish I bought 1 FULL FRIGGEN YEAR AGO, and have just gotten around to wearing it now... that is sad. This is 3 coats with 1 coat of a clear top coat. After painting and cleaning up my nails, I swung my hand into the back of a chair and totally fudged up my index.... nail stickers to the rescue! This polish smells like berry liquorish. It is a very, very light blue, I would say a white with a hint of blue. Again, I am not really sure what to call this finish. A frost/Perle with tremendous glass like shine... but some polish brush streaking, which is fine - I think it is only noticeable when viewed very up close.

♥ Billie - 'Strawberry' ♥

~ Billie 'Strawberry' 3 coats - no Top Coat ~

~♥~
Here is one of the newest scented polish's I found at the awesome .99 cent store in my town.... This is a very pretty color (I say that about every single polish I try ) Just a really girl-y pink!!!!! However = it is not scented as strongly as the Grape scented polish I found last year. {I did a quick swatch my newest Billie scented polish's haul HERE. } I did a test of the new grape polish I bought, to compare it to the old one I have= and the old one is waaaaaaaaay more scented! ( * sad * ).

This polish smells like cheap fruity booze, which I guess is... okay, better to smell like something on the 'nice' side then some of the more chemically/gross polish's I have sampled in the past. I am not sure whether to call these Frosted or a Pearle finish. Usually I check out Nail Juice's handy guide when deciding on what to call a finish = but I am not sure what to call these. Is 'extra-glassy-frost' a name for a polish finish ( yet? )

Anyhoooooo, All my photos are outdoors & I have no top coat on my nails in these photos. I hope to have a serious nail polish swatching week. The last few photos, I have used spontaneous as a comparison for this polish. Normally I am not a fan of any 3 coater's which have that frosty-ness that leaves some streaking, but I think that because these polish's dry extremely fast, I will put up with them.

♥ Billie - 'Purple Rain' ♥

I wasn't so sure about this= I thought that it was an exact copy of Purple Haze, which I wore HERE, but this polish, Purple Rain, has a lovely shimmer to it. I love these Billie polish's... still cannot get over them being .99 cents! This Polish, Purple Rain It is alot more milky and opaque than Purple Haze..... like they just added a few drops of a shimmery white to the bottle. Which is painfully confusing, because Purple haze should be hazy and milky..... and purple rain would be crisp and a solid color...... ahhhhhhhh!

~ Left - Purple Rain ~ Right - Purple Haze ~
~♥~

Although there is some shimmer happening here, it is still matte..... , I wore this 1 1/2 weeks ago with no top coat, but matte polish's will attract oils and such from moisturizer, and so the polish picked up a little shine when I took these photos.

♥ Billie - 'Orange' = T.O.T.M-W.♥

Ha, ha-ha,the photo above and the one below are awesome shot's that I got with my camera on the 'Party' setting. Seriously though, this is what this polish looks like in low lighting. I freaked my self out walking into a darkened room in my home because I caught a flash of my toes-ies out of the corner of my eye and did not realize what it was right away!!!!!!

You can check out a mani I did a couple of moths ago with this polish HERE

Finally someone else in the polish world tried this. I have only seen this polish once on nail gal - Billie 'Royal', a super dark vampy red, and another blogger kindly swatched a polish I do not have from Billie - 'Ruby'... How am I ever gonna buy polish's for regular price now? Even CG at $3.99 isn't exciting me - ( well, maybe 'Solar Power' ). I hope that the company that makes these 'Billie' polish branches out a bit more, possibly to the U.S. ( then we can get Pure Ice up here ♥ )

This is Billie 'Orange' with two coats of a richly pigmented white ( also Billie Brand ) and 2 coats of Billie Orange followed by 2 coats of a clear top coat... Billie, - .... (seriously I don't work for them, but, if I did I would have like 3 of each color).... I cannot get over how inexpensive these are and how friggen bright some of them are. I am hoping my favorite discount store in my town will get a shipment of plain white soon, so I can got to town frankening these neon's so I will not have to have 5 layers of polish. However - despite the 5 layers this dried relatively fast. I painted my nails outside today, which turned out to not be so good as there is still ALOT of fine, fine bits of dust floating around.... which ended up sealed forever into my pedi (well till Friday)

The rest of these photos are outside, I find neons photograph best in the shade. I have paired my toes & the bottle with polish everyone seems to have, or that there are 1 million photos of across the interwebs China Glaze 'For Audry' and 'Spontaneous'. I have also kindly colored over my toe fur.... I am not ready to show the world my hairy toes.

I have a serious problem that despite finding polish's for .99 cents and $2.00, all in cool & pretty colors and decent quality, I still want more and more, and more. What is wrong with me?

♥ Maybelline - 'Matte Brownie' ♥

♥ HAVE AN AWESOME WEEKEND READERS ♥

Here is the lovely Matte Maybelline ' Matte Brownie', 2 coats & 2 T.C.s of Maybelline 'Matte Maker' top coat. This is a shade that I think looks great matte, like and old piece of metal. This I believe is a shimmer, even though it is matte, in the sunshine, beautiful gold tones appear. Please check out the following post where I added a clear shiny Top Coat, and some pitiful nail art..... I tried to do stripes in shiny T.C. and it looks awful. Next time I am sticking to polka dots, because you cannot goof those up. Also my week has been horribly busy, and though I hae read every post on the nail/make-up blogs I follow, I have had little time to comment. Thank you for all the posts you contribute and saving me form reading crappy news and instead reading about new/awesome products and seeing beautiful polish's!

♥~♥~

Onto the posts - all outside in the sun and shade ~ As always you can enlarge my photo's = something I am thankful for as I am a little vision impaired ♥

♥ Maybelline - 'MATTE Brownie' & T.C. ♥

~ 2 coats Maybelline 'Matte Brownie' and 2 coats of a shiny Top Coat ~

Here I added 2 coats of a super-shiny Top Coat to Maybelline 'Matte Brownie'. I tried to do some diagonal stripes but they look awful. I used a super thick old T.C. that had a thin brush because I thought it would be easier..... Oh well - lesson learned. I am not sure exactly what setting my camera was on but my skin looks grayish in most of these photo's.... Zombie grayish...... I like this color and think it is leaning more towards an antique bronze with the shiny top coat , of course I have to try adding shine to all my recent mattes..... However I would most likely wear this as a matte because I think it looks really cool.

♥ Indulge - 'White Glass-Flecked' layering ♥

~♥~

I tried to prolong my Maybelline 'Blackened Teal' manicure - and so I added 2 coats of Indulge 'White-flecked' polish. ( I made that name up, this cute mini polish does not have it's own name.....) You can still see the tip wear, but I did not have the zest to redo my nails at the beginning of this week. So I slapped on 2 coats of this lovely glass flecked mini polish. I am trying to finish up groups of polish's that I buy, before I buy new ones!!!!

~♥~

Lately my camera does not co-operate and so my photos are turning out a little funky..... but I managed to get some cool photo's to share.
The one of just my thumb holding the bottle up to the sky is a little off but it is a good photo of the finish of these cute mini polish's. The very last photo is a hand pose I copied from Misschevious..... I like how it looks like there is this claw coming out of no where..... like the cover of an old zombie movie. I get good photo of all my nails with this pose. Anyhoo - onto the photo's

♥ Maybelline - 'Blackened Teal' ♥

~♥~

Maybelline ' Blackened Teal' is a very pretty color, the shimmery teal only appears tin direct strong sun shine, in the shade it just looks like a dark blue. Indoors lighting it looks its best color, a beautiful dark teal = though the shimmer is not as apparent.

Most of these photos are outside in the sun, as I could not get good photos indoors. I found this Antique polish at one of my fav stores in my town, for $2.00 = WOO-HOO. Kitty - of kitty loves color - has also found this in a discount store and hopefully will be modeling this pretty shade soon.

Because it is Sunday Night and I am eager to and crawl into bed and throw on a movie, I do not have any epic writing for you. Sorry ♥ This lovely Maybelline polish is 3 coats.... three bumpy difficult to apply coats with 2 coats of China Glaze Fast Forward Top Coat. Thank gosh I bought that "clear" Maybelline Antique polish 'Emerald Water' to thin this sucker out! Otherwise I would have to add this polish to my ' Jewelery-fix'in-polish's '

~♥~

Anyhoo Onto the photo's Enjoy your Sunday Evening!

♥ Billie - Scented Polish's ♥

~ L to R ~ Bubble Gum, Blueberry, Strawberry, Grape, Watermelon, Cherry, scented, pretty yummy actually.

~♥~

So while I am trying desperately to NOT BUY ANY MORE FRICKEN NAIL POLISH, I popped into my favorite store, The .99 cent store in my town Brandon, Manitoba Canada, and they got a whole bunch of the beautiful Billie Nail polish, more of the neon's, the glitters, and the scented polish, thankfully, because I only had Grape and Blueberry. Why are these nail polish's just .99 cents? They are friken RAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They dry fast, they don't smell bad, etc..... I can easily go for a while without buying ANY MORE NAIL POLISH but at .99 cents, how could I not.

~♥~

I am gonna write this company again, why don't they distribute more down to the U.S. This product is made in the U.S. so whyyyyyyyy? Actually, I worry that maybe this is the Twilight Zone and they are all really a clear nail polish and I am only 'seeing' the colors 'I want to see' (moo-ahhh-ha-ha-ha-ha) I am extremely grateful that the lady who runs this shop orders these, who knows, there are probably tonnes of products just waiting to be ordered at any one shop in the world but they are not ordered.... hmmmmmmm. They dont seem to have any toxic waste in the formula so whats up?

~♥~

I eventually will take photos of these in the shade and indoors, and do full mani's.....just in case any other Canadian Chicks want to buy these but are not sure of the colors/qualities etc.. I did a post about the company that distributes this Billie Brand, Williams Direct Marketing, you can always Google it, they used to have pictures on their website of these polish's but they took them off (weirdz). I must buy them all, at .99 cents how can I not. My 12 year old self would smack me silly if I didn't.

~♥~

Here is a few swatches I took yesterday of just my pinky finger. I switched to a clear acrylic nail, not the usual thick opaque cream colored ones that I usually use. ( there not pure white). It has definitely made a difference in that I need 3 to 4 coats to get to bottle color with most polish's instead of my usual 2. I am going to try and take swatches with a clear nail, as this most mimics our natural nails - { but will require more coats on my part}. These are all in the full sun. This recent batch dries very fast as always, and all have a light yummy scent. I think all nail polish's should be scented ( already, geez !!!!! )

~♥~

Some of these polish only required two coats, but I cannot remember which ones..... Sorry! All my photos are outside, out of the direct sun shine. I cannot even say when I will get around to doing full mani's with these. Hopefully soon ♥

♥ Maybelline - 'Bamboo Yellow' ♥

Maybelline Express Finish - Bamboo Yellow  - 2 coats

Here is one of my recent Maybelline Antique polish's, Bamboo Yellow ~2 coats and a clear TC. I think this one should have been called Banana Yellow - not Bamboo yellow. It looks like a banana, at the time i shot these photos I had no banana's for a prop. Or I guess I could compare it to a margarine type of color... I like Banana Yellow, because I cannot foresee any board meeting where they agree to call a polish 'Margarine Yellow' I picked this up for $2.00 at an awesome store in my town. This is two coats - but I think that next time I will go for 3 thinner coats, I was in a hurry with this one. At the moment I am not wearing any nail polish or false nails, it is torture! I am trying to finish up some sewing and craft projects, and doing stuff with long beautiful trophy-wife-nails - (TM) - is pointless.
~♥~
Depending on the order that these posts show up, I have layered one of my Indulge beauty mini nail polish's over this one. I still need some consensus as to what finish that those types of polish are, they may be shimmer or super-tiny-flakie.. I don't know. The finish is similar to some of the sinful polish' I have seen on the blogs. Some one will fill me in ♥
